Rapid International have recently supplied a Rapid Mix 20B to Concreto y Electricidad SA based in Monterrey, Mexico.

This company manufactures concrete weights which are used in washing machines for companies such as Hotpoint. The difference in their blend of concrete is that they use recycled steel shot in order to add extra weight to the concrete. The Rapid Mix 20B suited their requirements perfectly.

The Rapid Mix 20B was first designed as part of a Knowledge Transfer Programme in conjunction with the University of Ulster. Market research pointed to a niche in the US market for a machine such as the Rapidmix 20B. There was a need for something easily transported, assembled and operated. These problems were resolved all at once with this machine as it is easily transported in a 40ft container, it can be set up within 3 hours and it is also prewired. There was also a niche in the market for something which could be readily loaded with a standard digger or loading shovel and also have the ability to add colour.

20boutside.jpgDuring the process there is low waste and It is fitted with an RP750 planetary mixer producing 25m3 of mixed concrete per hour. This plant was supplied without a cement silo or screw conveyor, but these are available on request.
